Tips for Making Homemade Lasagna

Here are a few tips to make sure your lasagna turns out perfectly:

Be sure to cook the noodles until they are just tender. If they are cooked all the way through, they will be too mushy when you assemble the dish.

When adding the tomato sauce, be to taste it before you add any sugar. Some canned tomato sauces can be quite acidic, so you may not need to add any sugar at all.

If you are making the lasagna ahead of time, be sure to cool it completely before refrigerating. This will help prevent the noodles from getting soggy.

If you find that your lasagna is getting too brown on top, you can cover it with foil during the last 15 minutes of cooking.

Leftover lasagna can be stored in the refrigerator for up to four days. Be sure to reheat it slowly, covered, so that the noodles don’t get dry and crumbly.
